An alarming situation. A collective emergency.

In 2024, 24 women were killed in Quebec because they were women. These murders are part of a continuum of gender-based violence rooted in systemic inequalities.

Our sister organization, the Feminist Coalition Against Violence Against Women (CFVF), is releasing a rigorous and committed report today, denouncing the lack of legal recognition of femicide in Canada and insufficient institutional responses, and calling for urgent collective action.

The report offers a series of concrete recommendations to prevent femicide and protect the rights of girls and women.
